What products do you use?I take great pride in my makeup kit. I stock all luxury and high end products (besides the rare instance where I have found an affordable product that performs better than its high end counter part - hello Maybelline gel liner!). The brands I mainly carry are Charlotte Tilbury (I have a great love for CT products from my time working for the brand), Makeup by Mario, Chanel, Sephora, Urban Decay, Lancome and Glossier.

Is there a cost for a second artist? If you are booking for more than 7 services or you want to speed up your getting ready time, then I will need to bring a second artist to your appointment. The cost for each additional artist is $200 + hst. (This does not apply if I am bringing a hair stylist to your appointment, unless you have more than 7 hair services or want a faster getting ready time for hair).
-
What time will we start? Each application takes around 1 hour, so if you have 5 people getting ready, we will start 5 hours before you need to be finished. I will not sacrifice the quality of my work or my hygiene practices in order to do your application faster so if this timing does not work for you then I can bring along a second artist at an additional cost.

Are you Jess Hencke?I was! Wallace is my new married name! So yes, if you're looking for Jess Hencke Makeup (@JessHenckeMakeup), that's me!
-
Do you have a booking minimum? At this time I do not have booking minimums. All of my clients are important to me, no matter how many services you are booking for.
-
Can you come to me?At this time my services are fully mobile. I come to you! Whether that’s to your home, venue or hotel room, I’ll bring everything we need to get you glam. I would love to offer in-studio appointments but don’t have the space for it at home right now. Hopefully coming soon!

Can I do a trial before I book? Some people want to do a trial before they commit to their booking. Not every makeup artist is ok with this, but I am. I understand where you’re coming from in wanting to test out your vendor before committing but I can not hold your wedding date in the meantime. Wedding dates are only secured once you have paid your retainer fee and signed your wedding day contract.
-
How long does a service take? Each makeup application takes approximately 1 hour. This includes the time it takes to clean and sanitize my station between clients. Timing is VERY important to me and I do everything I can to stay on time and keep things running smoothly.
-
Do you do hair?Personally, I do not. I focus all my time and energy into my passion which is makeup artistry. However, I do have a team of amazing hair stylists whom I know and trust to work with me on my bookings.
-
Will there be a travel fee?Maybe? Depending on where you’re getting ready. I have a 30km travel radius from my home in Toronto. If you’re outside that area a travel fee of $.61/km will apply. I will always tell you before you book whether or not you will incur a travel charge.
-
How do I pay?I accept cash or e transfers for payment. The person responsible for the payment is the person who signs the contract. Payments must be made in one lump sum (I will not accept individual payments from each person having a service done).
-
How many services can you do?I can accommodate 7 services at one time. If you have more than 7 people wanting their makeup done then I will need to bring along a second artist which will incur an additional artist fee.
-
Can I have a trial?Of course! Trials are so important for many reasons. It’s our chance to get to know one another, I get to take lots of time to ask you questions and learn what it is you want for your wedding day makeup and we can take the time to make changes if there is something you want to adjust or alter once we’re done. I recommend doing your trial 1-2 months before your wedding. This is because trends change, weather changes, and your preferences can often change over time as well. Doing it on a date when you are having photos of yourself taken (like your engagement photo’s or your bridal shower) is another good option as you can wear the makeup all day and see how it photographs so you’ll have a good idea how it will look in your wedding photos.
-
How do I book?Easy! Send me an email at JessicaWallaceCreative@Gmail.com or click the contact link above and fill out the form. Let me know the date you are looking for, how many services you would like to book, where you’ll be getting ready and what time you need to be ready by. I’ll be in touch soon after!
-
Are lashes included?Lashes are complimentary for every makeup appointment. I carry with me individuals, half lashes and strip lashes so you’ll have a choice during your application. If you have your own lashes that you would like me to apply, that's fine too!
-
Do I have to pay a deposit?I require a 50% retainer fee upon booking (as well as a signed contract) in order to reserve your date. This fee is non refundable and non transferable. The remainder of your payment is due after the appointment (for personal makeup applications) or 5 days before your wedding.
